We are changing the landscape of LGBTQIA+ philanthropy in Australia

Rainbow Giving Australia Limited is an ambitious national LGBTQIA+ community foundation that supports community-led solutions by mobilising funding, growing skills, and expanding the knowledge base about the funding needs across the LGBTQIA+ sector.

Rainbow Giving Australia was created in November 2024 from the merger of The Aurora Group and GiveOUT. Over the past 25 years, Aurora and GiveOUT have paved the way for a better funded sector, investing in the organisations solving the most pressing problems for our communities. Rainbow Giving Australia is proud to continue this legacy.

In 2020, prior to collaborating, Aurora and GiveOUT collectively raised and distributed $226,690 for rainbow communities. This year, after just four years of working together, and now as RGA, we will distribute $1 million.

The Unquiet Collective combines the know-how of six women from film, campaigning, art and impact backgrounds with a powerful commitment to partnerships led by communities with lived experience.

The collective works with filmmakers to reach their audiences and invite audiences to move from ideas into action.

We support projects that span documentary, narrative, audio and performance works.

The work that we do expands traditional modes of distribution, focusing specifically on engaging new, unexpected audiences and coming to them with offers and tools for action.

Our work is grounded in, and expanded by, solid partnerships with organisations, thinkers, makers and doers across disciplines who help us define our strategies and framing to reach these audiences.

We also bring new audiences to existing campaigns.
